| HISTORY OF THE ROCK In the rock wasteland that is Worcester Massachusetts there is one band puts all the other local acts to shame. That band is Black Chrome. Black Chrome was originally formed in the fall of 2001 by Pob and brothers Dave and Matt Hall under the monicker Jesse James. After witnessing a few performances by the legendary Fast Actin' Fuses the boys decided that they needed to ROCK. A remedy was needed to the lame pop punk, neanderthal nu-metal and tedious indie rock shit that was infesting the local scene. The band quickly made a name for themselves locally, a few saw them as saviors of a scene filled with crap bands, many of the people in those same crap bands saw them in a less than positive light. The boys refusal to kiss ass, suck up, and their tendency to tell it how it is, while refreshing to some, was not taken well by the majority. Other bands were especially upset by the daunting prospect of having to go on after the boys. New bassist Nathan joined the band in December of 2002 and Derek was added as a second guitarist the following July. In the summer of 2004 Derek departed the band and was replaced by guitar slinger Matt Gomes, formerly of Critical Condition. Whether they happen to be rocking Providence, Boston, or their hometown, one can't help but notice that this is one band to be reckoned with. Armed with a lethal barrage of incendiary songs and more energy than a nuclear power plant, they will rock your ass wherever and whenever they hit town, and they'll blow any other band off the fucking stage (Sorry about that guys we can't help ourselves).
